Looking for work in European Portuguese
This is lesson 3 of 5 in Unit 14, Work and study (Trabalho e estudos), an A2 unit in which you talk about your job and your studies, and describe how things used to be. You will meet 8 new words, such as procurar emprego (to look for a job), desempregado (unemployed) and a entrevista (interview), in 10 short sentences you can listen to. Building on Hours and pay, it gets you to sentences like O meu marido está desempregado (“My husband is unemployed”). The unit’s grammar notes cover “Trabalho, emprego and a tempo inteiro” and “School and university in Portugal”.
